One of A Kind Christmas Show 2013 + Giveaway + Contest!

Hello Wednesday!  It has been a very busy week and man do I look forward to my short getaway to Calgary next weekend.  Speaking about next weekend, the One of a Kind Christmas Show is back and with hundreds of creative and talented artisans participating this year, the OOAK Christmas Show is definitely a must see for perfect ideas for holiday gifts and decorations.

I am a big fan of Avril's fabulous textile products.  The soft yet bright colours, the intricate patterns, and the quality of the prints/materials, Avril Loreti at Booth P04 wins my vote at the textile category.  These are a few of Avril's brand new designs this year … definitely a must see!  My fabs: confetti and party straws.

Chris loves wood.  In fact, he would like a modern log cabin for his condo with wood panels on all walls and ceiling.  Well, you all know I won't let that happen but I do like the ideas of introducing natural wood elements into the space for an organic touch.

Now here are some artful and sculptural creation by Kino Guerin (Booth F06).  Wall shelve, coffee table, and console: checked, checked, and CHECKED!

Original art always wins my heart and for this year, the talented Richard Ahnert (Booth J10) has my attention.  I love the depth and the mood of his work.  Chris refers the look as "sad" but I rather find it "invigorating".  These are the art pieces that lead me into deeper thoughts, the meaning of the pieces, the artist's inspiration/ thought process, instead of "oh this is pretty".

I first noticed Alexx Boisjoli at the Etsy Shop at The Bay and am I glad to see his work at the OOAK Christmas Show.  The simplicity and honesty to the construction of his ceramics and the gold lustre animal friends all had me at hello!

Now for my wish list this Christmas, I am dreaming about the mini pouch and gloves from Amelie Bryson.  Recycled Italian wood, tan leather, nylon-lined interior made from trench coats … do I need to say more?

Camera shy? You won't when you see this super fun camera cup by Greg Voisin.  Smile!

Here comes the GIVEAWAY: check out One of A Kind Show and let me know what is your absolutely must-see item this year for a chance to win a ticket to the show!  The lucky winner will be randomly drawn on Monday November 25th.
